Lynn Ann Lydon, 70, born in St. Peterburg, Florida, on February 12, 1953, was one of six children of Alford Raymond Lydon, Jr., and Virginia Mae Currier. She attended St. Jude Elementary School, Notre Dame Academy, Boca Ciega High School, then Nursing School at the University of South Florida. She was a member of the first graduating class of St. George University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, in 1982. She did her internship and residency at Coney Island Hospital at Downstate in Brooklyn, specializing in internal medicine, working as an emergency room physician. Lynn moved to Stuart, Florida, in 1986. There she worked as an emergency room physician, acted as the Hospice Director of Martin County, and as Medical Director for Sandpiper Cluster, a facility focusing on patients with special needs. She opened a medical practice in Stuart, Florida, serving her patients with dedication and compassion for over twenty years before her retirement in 2018. Lynn had a passion for environmental and wildlife conservation. She loved to travel, spending many years touring the United States in a recreational vehicle and visiting the national parks. She was predeceased by her father, Ray, and sister, Patty. She is survived by her mother, Ginny, brothers Michael, Daniel, David, and Steven, children Susan and Scott, and life-long friend Toni Sawczak. She will be sorely missed by her loving family and friends.
