Shanna Lyn Cruz Obituary

Shanna Lyn Cruz left us too early, but we can always remember her fondly. Born in Topeka, Kansas on August 23rd, 1977, to Tonja Jolene and William Perry Cruz Jr., she was the eldest of all her siblings. She passed away on Dec. 10th, 2023, in Anacortes, WA

She lived all over the United States- from California to Washington State, North Carolina and down to Florida. She was very proud of her Hawaiian heritage and was always happiest by the ocean with the sun shining bright.

Shanna loved to sing and travel and experience new activities and sights. She was an avid lover of history and historical reenactment, and last worked as an actress at Old Town Trolley in St. Augustine. Shanna was known by many names: Pearl at the Oldest Jail, Constance at the Oldest General Store, Theresa Dela Cruz at Fort Menendez, and Ondine the mermaid. Shanna's final days were spent with her daughter on her parents’ property in Oak Harbor, WA.

Shanna is survived by her daughter, Lillian Cruz, son Jareth Cruz, her two sisters, Wendi Gall and Kelsey Harmon. Mother and stepfather, TJ and Scott Fisher, and Grandmother Micki Bowers.

You may mourn but do not let grief overshadow the happiness that Shanna brought. Remember her fondly and brightly.
