Brent Neergaard Farch, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at the age of 74 years.

Brent was born in Calgary, AB, on June 10, 1949. He remained in the area for most of his life. Brent married Trudy Gabriel in 2004.

Brent worked as a successful Land Man in the booming Calgary oil industry for many years. Brent accomplished much throughout his life and was particularly proud of playing semi-pro basketball with the University of Calgary Dinos, being named Canada West All-Star in 1973.

Brent had a passion for all sports and could be regularly seen coaching his children in the community. He also loved music; he could be found listening to CKUA daily. His favorite artists were Leonard Cohen, Tina Turner and Bruce Springsteen.

Brent’s most memorable vacation was when he went to lhokseumawe, Indonesia, to spend Christmas with his Mom and Dad.

Brent is survived by his daughter Karra Farch and grandson Dylan Thomson of Kamloops, BC; his sister Mickey and nephew Daeg Farch of San Diego, California, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Brent was predeceased by his wife, Trudy Gabriel, his son, Kazzy Preston Farch, his parents, Helen and Tim Farch and his sister Judy Farch.

In living memory of Brent Farch, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes.
