Chaney, Edith "Edie" Fay, 73, a lifelong resident of Clinton, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023. She was retired from the State of Louisiana with more than 25 years of service. Visiting will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Clinton,on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. until graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Edie is survived by her brother, Ted Chaney, sister in law, Sue Chaney, niece, Angela Chaney Pitard and husband Tracy Pitard, great nephew, "her heart", Thomas Landry Pitard. Edie is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ruth Chaney and brother, Thomas Boyd Chaney. Pallbearers will be Thomas Pitard, Patrick Chaney, Mark Kemp, Bennett Bunch, Mark Sigler, Tim Walton, Barrett Day and Bradley Gayle. Honorary pallbearers are Talmadge Bunch, Fields Day, Tracy Pitard, David Brunt, Ronnie Feierabend, Elmer Lobell and Joh Tal Day. She was currently employed with Curry Pharmacy, Clinton. She loved her job and visiting with everyone who came in the door. Edie leaves behind so many dear lifelong friends who will forever miss her.
