La Bonna "Bonnie" L. Landerman Obituary

La Bonna “Bonnie” L. Landerman, of Stevens Point, passed away December 9, 2023, at Aspirus Hospital surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 87.

Bonnie was born June 26, 1936, in Marathon City to the late Wallace and Irene (Dringler) Bergner. Bonnie grew up in the area and graduated from Marathon High School.

After high school, she trained to be a telephone operator in Portage, WI. She met her husband, Bernard A. Landerman and the two were married July 2, 1955. The two welcomed two children to their family and enjoyed life together for 67 years. In their early years, they purchased land in the Stevens Point area and developed a subdivision on McDill Pond, “Bonnie Bay”, named after Bonnie.

Bonnie enjoyed people and loved each and every person she met. She never said an unkind word about anyone; always offering to help whenever it was needed. Her absence will be deeply felt; life will be lonely.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Bernard; two sons, Bernard Jr. (Tracy) and Robert (Elizabeth); and two grandchildren, Alexander and Katelyn. She is further survived by three sisters, a brother, and many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Irene.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church - 3200 Plover Road, Plover. Rev. James Trempe will officiate. Friends and family are invited to gather and share memories at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Bronislava Cemetery.
