Mrs. Denise Mooney Tolbert, age 54 of Chase City, died Friday, December 8, 2023. She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey R. Tolbert; her son, Cody T. Mooney (Sara ) of Baskerville; step-son, Dani Elijah Tolbert of Chase City; her parents, Charles and Trudy Mooney of Baskerville, and her sister, Diane E Mooney of Baskerville. Also surviving are two very special grandchildren, Kathleen Elisabeth Mooney and Waylon Walker Mooney.

Denise worked for the Virginia Employment Commission as a RESA Specialists. In her time away from work, she loved spending time with her family especially sharing Sunday lunches, spoiling her grandchildren, and time spent with her husband, whether traveling or just being spoiled.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2pm Saturday, December 16 at Farrar Funeral Chapel.
