Mr. Marvin “Cool” Anthony Burke was born to the late Mildred Brinson and the late Robert Birt, Jr. On April 10th, 1966. On December 11th, 2023, Marvin entered the open arms of our Heavenly Father. He resided in Matthews, GA, and worked as a truck driver, his true passion, while also holding jobs at Tom Land and Shaw Industries.

Marvin was no stranger to anyone due to his outgoing personality, big smile, and selfless nature. Most will remember him as the “Life of the party”, hilarious, hard-working, and dependable.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above, his grandmother Alberta Birt, his aunts Brenda and Carrie Ann Change, and his uncle Larry Birt.

Left to cherish his memories are: his beautiful children Marvin Birt, Jr. of Thomson, GA, Demarion Burke and stepson, DeArius Tukes of Waynesboro, GA, and Jada Birt, of Augusta, GA; his grandchildren; siblings; Mary Williams of Augusta, GA, and Gregory Brinson of New York, Stacy Ruff and Keon Ruff both of New Jersey; aunts, Donna Birt and Sandra Birt both of Matthews, GA; uncles, Perry Birt of Augusta, GA, Vincent Birt of Hepzibah, GA, Jerome Birt of Grovetown, GA, John Birt of Atlanta, GA, Carl Birt of Oklahoma and Walter Thomas of Matthews, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and grieving friends. Marvin left an everlasting mark on everyone he encountered, and he will truly be missed! Although he is gone, he will never be forgotten.
