FLORENCE: Whitney Leigh Gregg, age 30, of Florence, Wisc. Passed away Wednesday December 6, 2023 in Redmond, Oregon as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.


Whitney was born March 18, 1993 in Iron Mountain, Mich., daughter of Shannon (Terry) Steber, Florence, Wisc. and Robin Gregg, Aurora, Wisc. She grew up in Florence and graduated from Florence High School Class of 2011. Whitney attended the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and Wallace State University in Alabama where she received a bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Imaging. While at Wallace State, Whitney was awarded the Alumni Excellence Award which was given to only one student per year. She interned in the Radiology Department at the Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama. Whitney started out volunteering for the Peace Corp, and most recently she was employed as a traveling X-Ray Technologist for L.R.S. Traveling Company which brought her all over the country where she made many wonderful friends who became family. While working, she earned her Nutrition and Fitness degree and enjoyed spending time at the gym working out.


Whitney was the family “ring leader” who kept everyone connected. She enjoyed: photography, extreme hiking, and camping. She was passionate about her work and strived to do her very best. Her faith in God came first and her family was her life.


Whitney is survived by her parents Shannon (Terry) Steber, Florence, Wisc., and her father Robin Gregg, Aurora, Wisc.; her boyfriend, Jesse Sutter, Montana; seven brothers, Tommy (Tara) Menard II, Quinnesec, Mich., Dustin Gregg, Iron Mountain, Mich., Jordan Gregg, Iron Mountain, Mich., Riley Gregg, Iron Mountain, Mich., Randall Gregg, Florence, Wisc., Richard Steber, Florence, Wisc., and Corey Robinson, Florence, Wisc.; two sisters, Sidnie (Jake) Klimpel, CA., and Hanna Zanon, De Pere, Wisc.; maternal grandparents, Barbara Galvin and Lenny Lemanski, Florence, Wisc.; three nephews, Brantley, Grayson and Hudson; one niece, Harlow; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and her much loved fur babies, Millie and Murphy.


She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Homer (Dorothy) Dye, Dick (Sue) Steber; a special uncle and aunt, Randall Dye and Patti Grant; as well as several other family members.


Visitation will be Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral services will be Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Doug Johnson and Pastor Cathleen Morris will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Florence, Wisc. A luncheon will follow at the Florence Community Center.


A memorial will be established in Whitney’s memory.
