George E Farnsworth, 80, passed away on November 22, 2023, at home in Elko, Nevada. He was born in Yakima, Washington on January 20, 1943, to George H. and Virginia G. (Lunceford) Farnsworth. George was the oldest of four children.

George was in the U.S. Army for a short time before becoming a Flooring Installer by trade, working hard until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, camping, 4 wheeling, reading and especially spending time with family and friends. Family was most important to him, and he kept in touch with them over the years. George especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

George is survived by 4 children, Pamela (Donny) Compton, Mark (Stacy) Farnsworth, Gayel (Steve) Elliott, Linda (Kevin) Hirsch, 2 stepsons, Bruce (Kiyoko) Newsome, Brian (Ruthanne) Newsome, brother Chuck (Sandi) Farnsworth and sister Glenda Seward. George has 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren with many nieces, nephews and cousins. George is preceded in death by his loving wife Sally Farnsworth, parents George and Virginia Farnsworth, brother Jerry Farnsworth and daughter Dayel Farnsworth.

George requested no services and asked that both his and Sally’s ashes be spread in Arizona where his mother’s ashes are spread.
