Mark Anthony Gentile, 31, born in Brighton, MA, passed away surrounded by family and friends on December 1, 2023, in Melrose, MA. Mark Anthony was a beloved son, brother, nephew, and cousin who enjoyed life. His creative vision of the world and to himself was a display of his body art. It was a reflection of who he was and there to show the world how unique he was and what he believed in. He was kind and generous to the people he connected with.

Mark Anthony is survived by his mother, Lisa Gentile, father, Mark Gentile, brother Christian Gentile and his wife Vanessa, and their son Zander. He is also survived by his sister, Nina Gentile, and her partner Derek Haddad. Mark Anthony will be dearly missed by his Aunt Stephanie and her husband Michael Fontana, Uncle Mark Ayala and his wife Melissa, Aunt Catherine, Uncle Raymond Gentile and his wife Gina, Aunt Nancy and her husband James Fitzgerald, Aunt Dana Gentile and Anthony Zimbone, Uncle David Gentile and his wife Bettina, and Uncle Darin Gentile and his wife Charlene. He also leaves behind many cousins and second cousins.

He is survived by his grandparents Shirley and Frank Shea and preceded by his grandparents Jennie Gentile and Raymond Gentile and the late Aunt Josephine and Aunt Angelina Rana, Uncle Salvatore Rana, and Uncle Robert Cusick.

Mark Anthony attended Winthrop/Hoover, and Roosevelt Elementary School, Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School, and graduated from Melrose High School (Class of 2011).

In his free time, Mark enjoyed gaming, singing, videography, Pokémon card collecting, and traveling. He had a passion for these hobbies and found joy in them.

Visitation will be held at Gately Funeral Home, located at 79 West Foster Street, Melrose, Massachusetts 02176, on Thursday, December 7th, 2023 from 11 AM - 1 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 1 PM. Followed by interment at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.

The loss of Mark Anthony Gentile has left a void in the lives of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kindness, his love for his family, and his zest for life.

In the hearts of those who loved him, he will always be there. As he was and he will always be, treasured forever in our memory. We keep in our hearts the love of the past, for there it was planted forever to last. His presence we miss, his memory we treasure, loving him always, forgetting him never. May he rest in peace.
