Genevieve Theresa Fox passed away peacefully on November 29th, 2023.

She was the eldest of 5 children born to Erna and William Hoeschen on August 26th in Omaha, Nebraska. The family was raised in Chicago, Illinois before moving to the Portland area.

Genevieve raised three daughters, Judith, Janet, and Joanne, while performing administrative duties in the banking industry. Her life as a homebody came to a halt when she found herself as the leader of 20 teenaged girls involved in Mariner Scouting. In the next 10 years there were events, activities, competitions, challenges, and lots of laughter.

Ballroom dancing was one of her passions and that is where she met and married her husband Dick Fox. They shared the love of dance along with being avid gardeners. Their yard was one of the most beautiful in the neighborhood filled with well placed flowers, trees, grape vines, and gardening spaces.

As an active and dedicated member of Ascension Catholic church, Genevieve was a spirited member of the choir and tirelessly organized church receptions.

Genevieve Fox touched many people's lives and we will miss her greatly.
