Jerry Lynn Jacks Obituary

Jerry Lynn Jacks, 77 of Pine Bluff, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born July 21, 1946 in El Dorado to the late Homer and Maxine Kelley Jacks. He was of the Baptist faith, was a general mechanic for International Paper, and was a Shriner. Jerry was a board member for the Pine Bluff Gun Club and past fire chief for Southeast Jefferson County Volunteer Fire Department. He loved to fish and deer hunt, and enjoyed spending time with family.


Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Paula Jacks of Pine Bluff; 5 daughters, Stephenie (Greg) Blocker of White Hall, Billie Parsons of UK, Benita Clinard of Pine Bluff, Angela (Ross) Lewis of Monticello, and Lori Goff of Bryant; 9 grandchildren, including, Dr. Laci (Matthew) Webber and Lance Blocker; 13 great-grandchildren, including, Carol Webber, James Webber, and Claire Webber; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.


A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00PM Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City with a graveside service following at 2:30PM at Hickory Grove Cemetery near Star City. Bro Mike Walls will officiate. Pallbearers are Captain Matthew Webber, James Webber, Lance Blocker, Alex McMillan, Larry Daniels, Kenny Horn, Todd Blocker, and Joe Clark. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Tucker and Larry Rankin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Sahara Shrine Temple, 820 South Main St., Pine Bluff, AR 71611.
