Adolph O. Kraus, 93, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time. Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. The Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary at 9:00 am on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield, where military rites will be conducted. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Adolph was born on April 6, 1930, in Auburndale, to Otto and Gertrude (Van de Loo) Kraus and attended school in the Town of Day. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea from 1950 until his honorable discharge in 1952. He married Marian S. Martin on September 20, 1955, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She died on August 6, 2022.

Adolph had been employed at Weyerhaeuser and then at House of Heating as a welder and sheet metal layout worker until his retirement in 1992.

Adolph loved gardening and growing strawberries, popcorn, carrots and beets. He liked to tinker in the garage and enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time at the cabin. He and Marion enjoyed wintering in Florida.

He was a proud Sheet Metal Union Local 18 member, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1866, and an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus John Eisen Council #1799.

He is survived by his children, Dilly (Terry) Ingle, of Centennial, CO, Ron (Patty) Kraus of Hewitt, Ken (Kathy) Kraus of Waupaca, Bette Delsarte of Fort Atkinson, Diane (Marvin) Bauer, of Wisconsin Rapids, Andy (Karen) Kraus of Portland, OR and Karen Kraus (Josh) of Eau Claire. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Andy and Jonathon Ingle, Kari Marsch, Kevin Kraus, Adam and Eric Kraus, Tara Bauer, Sarah Gordon and Katie Konop and 16 great grandchildren. He is further survived by brothers, Don Kraus of Hewitt and Otto Kraus of Stoughton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son-in-law, Gerard Delsarte, and a brother, Al Kraus.
