Ann Harrington Burt, 89, of Newton, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Abernethy Laurels.

She was born April 23, 1934 in Montgomery County to the late Arthur and Lottie Stafford Burt. Ann was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lenoir and retired as a medical technologist.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary O’Brien Bowen Jr.; sisters, Sara Burt Mursch and Jane Burt Williams; and brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Mursch.

Grandchildren: Ann Bowen Pope and husband Matthew, and Olivia Bowen

A graveside service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir. Rev. Tommy Young will officiate.
