MADISON - Joan M. (Schuetz) Roscoe died on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023, from pancreatic cancer. She was born in Monroe, Wis., to Walter H. and Martha E. (Laeser) Schuetz on April 26, 1938. Joan attended a one-room schoolhouse from grades 1 - 8 in Jordan Township where Walter and Martha farmed. She then went to Monroe High School where she was Homecoming queen the year she graduated in 1956.

Joan was married to Wesley L. Roscoe at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison, Wis., on Jan. 21, 1961. Joan is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wesley; sons, Steven Roscoe of Madison, Wis., and Greg (Lisa) Roscoe of Sun Prairie, Wis.; grandchildren, Nicholas (Emily) of Minnetonka, Minn., Scott Roscoe of Shorewood, Wis., Kaitlin Roscoe of Grand Junction, Colo., and Ryan Roscoe (Bri Schultz) of Sun Prairie Wis.; and great-grandchildren, Wesley J. Roscoe and Walter N. Roscoe. Joan is also survived by her siblings, Allen (Joan) Schuetz of Baltimore, Md., Judy (Jack) Reed of Stevens Point, Wis., Ken (Claire) Schuetz of Middleton, Wis., and Jean (Jim) Shiller of Fitchburg, Wis.; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Roscoe of Madison and Bernie (Bea) Roscoe of St. Peter, Minn.
