William R. McNeff

<p>William "Buffalo Bill" McNeff, 70, of Rockford passed away December 2, 2023.&nbsp;Born in Valparaiso, Indiana to his parents Robert and Ruth (Meske) McNeff on October 21, 1953. After being stationed for 3 years in Germany as an Army medic, he returned home to Illinois. In his earlier years, he taught ballroom dancing at the Fred Astaire Dance Studios at the Ford City Mall on the south side of Chicago. After moving to Rockford he began working for A &amp; B Freight Lines where he was employed for 20 years.&nbsp;&nbsp; </p><p>In his free time, he enjoyed spending time out on the open road on his Harley. He also enjoyed bowling, watching WWE, listening to music, and had a passion for dancing. Most importantly he loved spending time with his friends and family.&nbsp;&nbsp; </p><p>He is survived by his wife, Sue (Noeson); children, Jenn Bailey, Bill (Sarah) McNeff, Jennifer (Jason) Geise, Melissa (John) Brotka, and Josh (Megan) Hagner; he was a loving Oompa to Kat, Liam, Alex, Avery, Will, Kristen, Christopher, Jenna, Lilly, Archer, Zoe, Maddox, Jameson, and Ella; sisters, Judy (Fred) Roess and Janie (Rich) Martello, as well as many nieces and nephews.&nbsp;He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Cheri (Fierke) McNeff.&nbsp;&nbsp; </p><p>Service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 9, 2023 in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service.&nbsp; </p><p>In honor of Bill, please wear your favorite Harley Shirt or sports team apparel.&nbsp; </p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in his name.&nbsp;&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; </p>
