Marcelle Rita Doucette, 87, a resident of Berwick, ME, passed away at her home on December 1, 2023.

Marcelle was born on Feb 4, 1936, in Somersworth, NH to Alfred and Rose (Doyon) Lambert, one of ten children.

She worked for 13 years in a local shoe shop before beginning her career producing electrical meters for General Electric, finally retiring in 1991.

On June 12, 1954, Marcelle married Robert Doucette. Together they raised 5 children. They had 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

For the past 25 years they have lived in Fort Myers, FL at Sun and Fun Community. She very much enjoyed her outings with the women of the park - The Red Hatters - whether it be going out to eat or to weekly movies. For hobbies, she picked up painting and quilting. She also loved to travel, taking trips to Europe and Alaska.

She enjoyed following the exploits of all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marcelle is predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Rose, 2 brothers Leo and Roger and 4 sisters Jeanine, Mona, Jackie and Estelle. Also 2 grandchildren Candice and Brian. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert Doucette, her children David (wife Cindy), Denise Fortin (husband Ken), Danny (wife Jennie), Dale (wife Brenda) and Peter (wife April), three of her siblings, Collette, Solange and Bobby, as well as 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

An hour of visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at St. Martin Church, 120 Maple Street, Somersworth, NH 03878, followed immediately by a memorial mass at St. Martin Church and Interment at the Columbarium at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth, NH.
