Scott A Taylor Obituary

Scott A Taylor, age 75, passed away Nov 29, 2023 in West Haven, Utah. He was born Oct 4, 1948 to Alford S and Betty Jane Meyer Taylor. Scott graduated from Bonneville High School in 1966.


He served honorably in the US Navy as a submarine radioman. He was stationed in Alaska and Australia during the Vietnam Conflict. Scott was a proud veteran and was honored to be counted among those who have served our country.


In 1972 he married the love of his life, Peggy Ellsworth, in Hooper Utah. They didn’t have children but provided a loving home to many, many kitties.


Scott’s first job was working at RJ Wight Feed & Grain. He worked with his dad as a maintenance worker. Most of his career was spent building houses in Utah and Colorado. He retired in 2018. Scott and Peggy returned to Utah in 2020 after many years in Durango, Colorado.


Scott is survived by his wife Peggy. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Trudy Taylor, Deborah Langford (Russell), Michael Taylor, Marcia Marquardt (Gary), Don Taylor and sister-in-law Paula Taylor.


Preceding him in death are his parents, his brother William K Taylor, his sister Linda Bohman and brother-in-law Frank Bohman.


Many, many thanks to the people who helped and supported Scott. This includes the staff at McKay-Dee Hospital, the Veterans Health Administration, Home Helpers, the people @ Symbii Home Health and Hospice, and the staff and management of Lotus Park Senior Living.


Graveside services will be held December 16, 2023 @ 11:00 a.m. at Leavitt’s Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th St Ogden, Utah 84403. Jeffrey Dean Ellsworth will officiate and attendees will be given an opportunity to share their memories of Scott. Russell Langsford will dedicate the grave.
