Obituary

Katalina DayAnna Ramon

November 8, 2023 – December 1, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a beautiful soul, a precious baby girl whose time on this earth was far too brief. Born on November 8, 2023, Katalina DayAnna Ramon fought valiantly throughout her 23 days of life, spending every moment in the tender care of the hospital with her mother, Maria DayAnna Rodriguez and her father, Danny Ramon by her side.

Katalina's story unfolded in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), where she fought against her many diagnoses of Microcephaly, HIE (Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy), and ASNSD(Asparagine Synthetase Deficiency Disorder) bravely with her devoted parents by her side every step of the way. Despite the challenges, Katalina was surrounded by love, warmth, and unwavering dedication from the two people who adored her beyond measure. Her spirit, though fragile, left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her impact was profound, teaching everyone around her the true meaning of strength, resilience, and the fragility of life. Katalina was accepted into the arms of her Savior on December 1, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmothers, Elizabeth Hernandez and Virginia Hernandez.

Katalina is survived by her grieving family, who find solace in the knowledge that she is now at peace, free from the confines of the hospital room that became her temporary home. Her father, Danny; mother, Maria; grandmother Cindy DayAnna Rodriguez and Christiana Lara, all of Worland; Grandfather Manuel DeJesus Rodriguez of Washington and Godparents Araceli Rodriguez and Andrew Gomez, both of Worland; uncles, Manuel Alejandro Rodriguez of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Mateo DeJesus Rodriguez of Worland and Joey Ramon of Worland; aunts, Veronica Gomez, Estria Ramon, Avelina Lara, all of Worland. As well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout Wyoming, Texas, Utah, and Washington.

A rosary will be held 7:00 PM, Friday, December 8, 2023 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Funeral rites will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday December 9, 2023 with Father Robert Rodgers officiating, a graveside service will follow. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
