Rae E. Hartman Obituary

Rae E. Hartman, M.D. passed on December 2, 2023 aged 99. Daughter of Raymond J. and Cora E. (Wells) Hartman. Dear friend of Sr. Lucy Beischel (deceased), the entire Beischel family, Dolores Daniel (deceased), Mary Ursula Vicario, Rosemary Byes, Jackie Schaefer and the entire Schaefer family, and many others. Life-long resident of Walnut Hills and a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish since 1932.

Rae was an avid traveler, reader, and patron of the arts. Rae graduated from St. Ursula Academy, Mt. St. Joseph College, and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Rae’s medical practice was in O’Bryonville, specializing in family medicine, with a career spanning over 50 years (1949-2000), delivering over 800 babies. She was a former member of the American Medical Association, Ohio State Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati.

Special thanks to all Rae’s caregivers, the Evergreen Retirement Community, and Queen City Hospice for the love and exceptional care they gave Rae.

Visitation and Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 9 at 10:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Church, 1600 Madison Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206.
