Melba Ann Davis was born in Anderson County, November 20, 1946 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Armstrong and Marquerite Webb Armstrong. She departed this life on December 4, 2023 to join her Heavenly Father.

A loving sister, wife and auntie, Melba was a military wife for many years to the late Edward Davis. She returned home from Germany and begin to work for Aramark at Clemson University and Clemson Downs as a supervisor for over 20 years.

Melba leaves to cherish her memories, two brothers, James W. Armstrong of Pendleton, SC and Jackie B. Armstrong of Seneca, SC; four god-children, Teja (Zwayla), Nikki, Jamie and Shawn Young all of Clemson SC; a host of nieces ; LaTisha Gantt, Michelle Ellis, Kimberly Lynn, Shaykh Armstrong, Tammy Mathews, Marquerite Chancellor, Jerkia and Cosha Benson; a host of nephews, Chris Kessler, Patrick Gantt, Brandon Keasler, Jeffery Chancellor, and Million (Tufa) Armstrong; and a great host of many great-great- great nieces and nephews.

Family, friends, any others whose lives Melba Ann Davis touched during her life’s journey are invited to celebrate her life on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm at King’s Chapel AME Church, Pendleton, SC with the interment to follow in the church cemetery.

A public visitation will be Friday, December 8, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson.
