Anthony Carnevale

<p>Anthony Carnevale, 77, of Cranston, died on Dec. 3, 2023 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Maria (DeMarco) Carnevale for 53 years. </p><p>Born Dec. 18, 1945, in Pico, Italy, the son of the late Paolino and Maria (Vallone) Carnevale, he had lived in Providence for 11 years before moving to Cranston in 1970. A graduate of the Rhode Island Radio &amp; Electronics School, he had worked as a Fire Protection Engineer for American Alarms. </p><p>Mr. Carnevale was the Grand Knight of the Pope Leo Council of the Knights of Columbus. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, where he served as a Eucharistic minister for many years. </p><p>Mr. Carnevale was selflessly devoted to his family, with whom he generously shared his time, talents, and love. A gifted craftsman and a jack of all trades, it was his joy to help family and friends on projects and to share the bounty of his beloved summer garden. He enjoyed golfing with his brother and friends, and was particularly close to his grandson. </p><p>Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Carina (Mitchell) Cournoyer and Maria Carnevale; a brother, Vincenzo Carnevale; a sister, Alessandra (Ronald) Cece; a sister-in-law, Marguerite (James) Pascale; a grandson, Henry Cournoyer; and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Mario Carnevale; and a sister, Giuseppina Della Posta. </p><p>The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and patient assistants at Brigham and Women's Hospital for their excellent care, and to the staff at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice for their unfailing compassion. A special thank you to Father Gregory Stowe for his spiritual guidance and empathy, and to our dear family and friends who have sustained us with their love and support. </p><p>Family and friends are invited to join in a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, West Warwick, on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 10am.VISITATION will be held in the Church from 9-10 a.m prior to Mass. Private entombment will take place at Sts. Peter and Paul Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery. </p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his honor may be made to St. Joseph Church, 850 Wakefield St, West Warwick, RI 02893, or HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904, Attn: philanthropy. </p>
