Vitale, 71, of York, entered into rest at 2:30 a.m., Friday, December 1, 2023, surrounded by his family.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, whom he spent 16 years cherishing along with 7 children and 5 grandchildren and 5 siblings, whom he loved with every ounce of his heart.</p><p><br></p><p>Fred was a film editor and talented carpenter. He enjoyed spending his free time golfing with friends, enjoying coffee, and being a car enthusiast. Fred was especially kind and generous to everyone and was always able to make the room smile. His kind-heartedness and welcoming presence touched the hearts of many. He was a clever man who could fix or build anything.</p><p><br></p><p>He will be remembered as a generous, loyal, and brave man with an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.</p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of life will be held at the family’s convenience.
