Leslie Brent Cox, age 71 of Lackey, Kentucky. Went to be with our Lord on Saturday December 2, 2023, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY. He was born on April 21, 1952, in Kendallville, IN to the late Odes & Dolly Sparkman Cox, He was the husband to Brenda Kay Gibson Cox. Leslie was also an ordained Deacon at Rock Fork Regular Baptist Church and a proud army veteran.

Leslie is survived by his loving wife Brenda Kay Gibson Cox; Sons- Kevin (Tonia) Cox of Printer, KY, Dustin (Brittnei) Cox of Hager Hill, KY, Josh Cox of Hindman, KY, Aiden Cox of Ary, KY; Daughter- Lana (Emmett) Hall of Lackey, KY; Grandchildren- Haley (Cody) Griffith of Prestonsburg, KY, Tyler Francis of Lackey, KY, Drake Green, Stacia Slone, Kayla Slone, Cody Castle, Cheyenne Samons, Jaden Slone; Great-Grandchildren- Gage Cox, Gracie Cox, Jaxon Cox, Dalton Newsome, Landon Newsome, Layla Adkins, Lillie Castle, Dante Castle, Mason Garris, Brothers- Michael (Lisa) Cox of Morehead, Ky, Lionel (Anita) Cox of Corunna, IN; Sisters- Linda Hicks Corunna, IN, Lila (Greg) Logan of Garner, KY, Rose (Roger) Hunter of Garrett, KY; A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Family & Friends.

Leslie is preceded in passing by his Parents- Odes & Dolly Sparkman Cox; Sister- Raeshella Pierce.

The family will receive friends from 6PM-10PM Tuesday December 5, 2023

at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home Chapel in Hindman, KY and anytime until 10PM on Wednesday with service starting at 7pm each evening.

Funeral services will be 2PM, Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral in Hindman, KY with Willie Crase, Daryl Slone & Other regular Baptist ministers Officiating. Military Honors by the Knott County DAV Chapter 171; Burial to follow at the Mountain Memory Gardens in Hindman, KY. Leslie will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
