William James Jordan Jr.

<p>William James Jordan, Jr., 82, died November 29, 2023. A native of Kinston, North Carolina, he was the son of the late William James and Mary Haddock Jordan. William retired as president of the Local 376 Pipefitters Union and then as a print room operator with QVC. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and Central Baptist Church in Norfolk. He was a former member of the NSSA.</p><p><br></p><p>William is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Pierce Jordan; daughter, Mary Michelle Newhall and husband Rob; two sons, George M. Jordan and wife Merri, and James J. Jordan; four grandchildren, Caleb Jordan, Nicole Parrish, Nathan Jordan, and Lindsey Newhall; and three great-grandchildren, Stephen Parrish, Noah Jordan and Maddie Parrish.</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 4 PM at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel.
