<p>Barbara Ann Tunstall passed away November 29th, peacefully at home with her beloved caregiver. She was born on November 9, 1932 in Saint Louis, MO. She was the youngest of 3 children. She lived in Saint Louis until her teenage years, when she moved to Los Angeles where she attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduated with her high-school diploma.</p><p><br></p><p>She met her husband, Ted Tunstall while taking ball room dance classes. They were married on July 24, 1958. They moved to Sacramento, CA shortly after the wedding. There Barbara became the proud mother of Laura, Von, Todd, Kevin and Alan.</p><p><br></p><p>Barbara and her family moved to Simi Valley in 1973 where she explored many passions, besides raising 5 children. Barbara and her husband traveled in their Airstream trailer all over California, and then as empty nesters all across the USA. They met many people along the way and Mom loved participating in the HOBO Rally and won several awards for her costumes.</p><p><br></p><p>Barbara was proud to be a Docent at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library for 25 years. She loved exploring presidential libraries all over the United States.</p><p>She joined the Simi Valley Emblem club, along with her husband who was a member of the Elks. She enjoyed the service projects that they were involved in. </p><p><br></p><p>She met many lifelong friends through Emblem Club, while participating in water aerobics at the YMCA and of course her favorite TOPS group. She was so proud of her accomplishment in TOPS where she successfully met her lifelong goals and loved being a fashionista!</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her children, Laura, Von (Claudia) Todd, Kevin and Alan, Grandchildren Melonie (Troy), Karl, Mateaus, Zach, Kristopher, Gloria, Azabeth, Tatham, 3 great grandchildren, Hunter, Mallory and Ashton, 5 cousins, Betsy Felman, Marty Breeden, St. Judith Ann, Ann Haberman and Agnes Hernadez and all that loved her. </p><p>Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar “Ted” Tunstall and her grandson Spencer V. Brewer.</p><p><br></p><p>Her viewing will be held at the Reardon Simi Valley, 2636 Sycamore Drive, Simi Valley, CA 93065 from 1-2 on Friday Dec 8, 2023.</p><p><br></p><p>Her celebration of life will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 1305 Royal Ave, Simi Valley, CA on Friday Feb 2, 2024 at 10am, a reception luncheon will be held at the Simi Valley Elks lodge, 1561 Kuehner Dr, Simi Valley starting at 11:30</p><p><br></p><p>In leu of flowers, please donate in Barbara’s name to St Rose of Lima Catholic church. Thank you.</p>

Obituary

Barbara Ann Tunstall passed away November 29th, peacefully at home with her beloved caregiver. She was born on November 9, 1932 in Saint Louis, MO. She was the youngest of 3 children. She lived in Saint Louis until her teenage years, when she moved to Los Angeles where she attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduated with her high-school diploma.


She met her husband, Ted Tunstall while taking ball room dance classes. They were married on July 24, 1958. They moved to Sacramento, CA shortly after the wedding. There Barbara became the proud mother of Laura, Von, Todd, Kevin and Alan.


Barbara and her family moved to Simi Valley in 1973 where she explored many passions, besides raising 5 children.
