Andrea passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on November 30, 2023 after a long private battle with cancer.

Andrea was born in Methuen and raised in Haverhill where she graduated from Haverhill High School and volunteered at Hale Hospital as a Candy Striper. She then went on to earn a degree in Dietetics from Mt. St. Mary’s College in 1974.

During the summers, she enjoyed going to the beach with her siblings and having friends over to swim and play volleyball.

After marriage, Andrea and her husband bought a house in Malden where they started their family. Later, in 1984, they purchased a house in Melrose which she lovingly maintained for many years and raised their three children.

She worked as a dietitian and nutritionist for many years at The John Handcock building, Malden Action, Mystic Valley Senior services, Saugus Senior Center, North Shore Elder Services, Salem Hospital and Newton Wellesley Hospital.

In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, spending time at the family house in Gloucester, cooking, gardening, shopping, various crafts (such as stained glass, slate welcome signs, sewing) and watching the Patriots games.

She is survived by her children Sean Kingsley of Lynnfield, MA, Allison Parker and her husband Justin of Gardner, MA, Heather White and her husband Jeff of Quincy, MA; her grandchildren Brayden and Teagan Parker and Roman and Hunter Kingsley; Her sisters Alicia Murray, Ellen Sickle and Rosemary Kilbridge and her brother Francis Berube as well as several nieces and nephews, her sister in-law Pamela Avery and her daughter in-law Kristin. She was predeceased by her husband Scott Kingsley and her parents Francis and Alicia Berube of Haverhill, MA.

Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Sun., Dec. 10th, 2023, from 1-4 PM. A Funeral Service will be at 4 PM at the funeral home immediately following the visitation. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

A celebration of life will be held immediately following the services. Details to follow.
