Obituary

Mamie Lovelet Isadora Spencer was born on June 20, 1944 to Watson and Hannah Spencer of South Brook, NL. She was the second oldest of eight children – six girls and two boys.

As a young woman she met and later married the love of her life, Cecil White of Grand Falls, NL and they were married on November 17, 1962. They went on to start their own family and were blessed with six children – three girls and three boys, whom she loved dearly. She was further blessed with the gift of life and was blessed with four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mamie thought the world of her grandchildren and loved for them to visit and spend time at nanny’s house. Family was very important to her and would love to spend time with each one.

Mamie was a very hard worker and helped in providing for her family, along with her husband – Cecil.

Outside of her dedication to help in providing for her family, she loved to do many things for fun and the enjoyment of life. Mamie loved to bake, cook, and she loved to have her cup of tea. People who tasted of her baked goods and cooking thought it was absolutely awesome. She also enjoyed knitting, gathering with friends for coffee at Tim’s or McDonalds.

Mamie loved many things about and in life but the greatest love of her life was her Lord and personal Saviour – Jesus Christ – she served Him for 50+. She was a member of the Windsor Pentecostal Church. She attended Women’s Ministries faithfully, was a Sunday School teacher, usher, and partook in various other ministries. Mamie loved her church and church family and attended faithfully up until her health failed her. She spent hours volunteering at her church and serving the Lord – volunteered many a days or nights at her church. Mamie was also a dedicated volunteer in her community with the Red Cross.

As she truly loved her family, Mamie will be truly missed by them and all who came to know and love her.
