Marilyn L. Carstensen

<p>Marilyn L. Carstensen, age 82, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Riverview Health Services under the care of Compassus Hospice. Marilyn was born in Merrill, WI, on May 28, 1941, to the late Alvin and Ruth (Aldrich) Pfister, Sr. She was married to Jack R. Carstensen on August 30, 1957; he passed away on October 21, 2021.</p><p><br></p><p>Marilyn was a lifelong resident of Tomahawk where she attended school and worked at the Watergate Inn for many years. She enjoyed bowling, playing games and playing guitar, and was a talented baker. Marilyn enjoyed the outdoors sitting in the sun and mowing the lawn. She held a special place in her heart for her cat, “Whiskers”.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include her son, Scott (Linda) Carstensen; her daughters, Gina (Ken) Kurth, and Shannon (Jack) Mikunda; and her sisters, Angie Lamb and Lois Brandenburg. Marilyn is further survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Ruth; her husband, Jack; her sisters, Juanita Wiedenhoft, Antoinette “Tootie” Moser, Wanda “Mootsie” Severt, and Shirly Frondle; and her brothers, Gerald “Jigs” Pfister, Alvin Pfister, Jr., Dennis “Jim” Pfister, and Lester “Dukie” Pfister.</p><p><br></p><p>In accordance with Marilyn’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Generations Funeral Home &amp; Crematory is assisting the family.</p>
