<p>On November 25th, 2023, Rose Pickett got her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 94 years old. Rose was born October 25, 1929, in the town of Keenesburg, CO. Her parents were Joseph and Mary (Schell) Schenfeld. On July 8th, 1950, she married Jim Pickett at St. Nickolas Catholic Church in Platteville, CO. Both Jim and Rose graduated from Johnstown High School. They lived in Evans for 46 years in the home that Jim built. In 1996 they moved to Eaton CO.</p><p><br></p><p>Rose worked various jobs over the years, but her passion was in being a homemaker, wife, and mother of two daughters, 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Rose was a very creative individual. She loved doing all sorts of crafts, art, sewing, and trying new recipes to make the most wonderful meals for her family. </p><p><br></p><p>Jim meant the world to her. He was considerate, helpful, and always made her laugh. He was her best friend of nearly 60 years. Her grandkids were her main focus and spending as much time with them was her happiness.</p><p><br></p><p>Rose was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Greeley, CO for many years. She is survived by her daughters Bonnie (Bates) and Linda (Rady), her sisters Joann Marshall and Marge Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim, a sister Mary, an infant sister Betty Mae and her grandson Ned.</p><p><br></p><p>A Private Interment will be held at a later date at Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley. </p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rose Pickett Memorial Fund.</p>
