Obituary

Carole Naomi Hansen, age 81, of Canton, Mi passed away on November 29, 2023 at

Angela Hospice in Livonia, Mi.

Carole was born on March 23, 1942 to Richard and Glenna Kaiser who resided in

Wayne, Mi. She attended Plymouth schools and married her high school sweetheart.

Loren’s family and Carole’s family both attended First Baptist Church of Wayne. Carole

had mentioned that she had first noticed Loren in middle school, but they started dating

when she was 16 after Loren was invited to her 16th birthday party. The rest is history.

Loren and Carole were married at the Martha Mary Chapel at Greenfield Village in the

winter of 1959. They honeymooned in Florida and soon after began their family. Sherrie

was born in March of 1961. Susan soon followed in May of 1962. Sheila was born in

June of 1966, with Loren (Sonny) in the spring of 1968.

After the children were in school, Carole worked a couple of retail jobs until she was

needed to run the office at their family owned business, Standard Printing Company.

Carole enjoyed antiques and decorating their beautiful home. She loved her family and

church friends. She also enjoyed hosting parties at her home. One love of both her and

Loren was camping and traveling. They explored many areas around the world and

especially enjoyed going on cruises. They even took the whole family on two cruises -

one for their 50th anniversary and the other was a Disney Cruise that the grandchildren

just loved.

Carole is preceded in death by her favorite grandma, Naomi Bigler, with whom she had

a special relationship. She is also preceded in death by her loving parents, Richard and

Glenna Kaiser, and her granddaughter, Jill LaRocque.

She is survived by her loving husband, Loren, and four children, Sherrie (Dave) Snyder

of Livonia, Sue LaRocque of Manchester, Sheila (Barry) Meyer of Milan, and Loren

(Susan) Hansen of Grand Rapids. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11

great grandchildren, and her brother Lynn Kaiser.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fairhaven Baptist Church, designated to

support their missions program at 34850 Marquette St., Westland, Mi 48185.

Her celebration of life will take place at Fairhaven Baptist Church on Monday, December

4, 2023 from 9-11 for visitation, and 11:00 for her service. A luncheon will follow the
