Obituary

To know Bob was to love Bob.  He was a very kind, loving, friendly man.  He is survived by his beautiful bride of 40 years, Beatriz, the love of his life.

Bob started his life 90 years ago in Baltimore MD.  He was the first son of Ceil and Robert Gabler.  He is one of 5 children.  Preceded in death by his brother Carl, and sisters Betty, and Jean.  He is survived by brother Eddie, many nieces and nephews, and loving friends and family.

Bob lived on the Chesapeake Bay in MD for many years and that is where his love of the water and fishing started.  He and Beatriz made a move to Oregon over 30 years ago and built a beautiful life in Northwest, that included a close group of friends that he considered extended family members.

Bob had an adventurous spirit and loved the outdoor life.  He enjoyed camping and hiking with Beatriz and friends.  The great Northwest offered an opportunity to further pursue his love of the water and fishing.  He was a member of a local fishing club and he and Beatriz enjoyed many exciting trips with the group.  Bob also loved traveling and was able to visit many places in the world throughout his life.

Another meaningful part of his life was being a dedicated member of first responders groups.  He volunteered at his local firehouse in MD for a few years prior to moving to Oregon.  He then became a dedicated volunteer member of the Jefferson Fire Dept in Oregon for 20 years.  He loved giving back to his community through this volunteering.

Bob will be missed very much by his family and friends.

Much love to him
