Passed peacefully away on November 29, 2023 at the Central Health Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor, William Leonard Russell, age 65, from Happy Valley-Goose Bay residing in Embree.

Bill is predeceased by his parents Mabel and Gerald Russell.

He leaves to mourn with loving memories his wife Holly; son Patrick (Cheryl); step-daughter Angela Hayes; brothers Jerry (Gwen), Keith (Melissa); sister Elsie (Chad); three precious grandchildren whom he adored, Leah, Alex and Ayla; special aunt Marina Locke; sister-in-law Debbie Allan who was constantly at his side offering support and care; god daughter Genevieve Benver-Jones; 2 special friends Dawson and Jaxon Way; plus a large circle of family and friends. 

Bill was deeply loved by everyone who knew him. He will always be remembered for his big heart and contagious smile. He loved fishing, camping, travelling and fires in the firepit surrounded by family and friends, especially Randy and Jamie. He loved family gatherings and cooking up a big "scoff" especially for his nieces Samantha and Shandi, their laughter was infectious. 

Cremation has taken place as per Bill's request. A celebration of his life will be held in Happy Valley-Goose Bay in Summer 2024.

The Russell family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the nursing staff on 2A at the CNRHC, Dr. Shea and Dr. Lush. Special thanks to Dr. Paul Crocker of Labrador Grenfell Health - Goose Bay for the excellent care provided over the years. You were not only his doctor but a true friend.
