Richard C. Standley, 65, of Essex, passed away at his home following a brief illness. He was the husband of Cathy A. (Sidlowski) Standley with whom they shared 22 years of marriage.

Born in Beverly, son of the late Charles H. and Virginia (Cole) Standley Sr. Richard was a graduate of Beverly High School Class of 1976 and went on earning his certificate in Electronic Technology and worked for Varion and Analogic.

Richard enjoyed gambling, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Cathy, daughter, Samantha Ann Standley of Groveland, stepdaughter, Emily Sidlowski of Gloucester, brother, Charles Standley Jr., and his companion Catherine Spanks of Gloucester, mother-in-law, Carol A. Sidlowski of Gloucester, two brothers-in-law, J. Stephen and Jon B. Sidlowski of Gloucester, two sisters-in-law Laura J. Allen of Oklahoma and Amy L. McKee of Connecticut, grandchildren, Tristan A. Sidlowski and Ashleigh A. Cole.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles H., and Virginia (Cole) Standley Sr.
