Judith J. Cederholm Obituary

Judith J. Cederholm, 80, of South Beloit passed away November 25, 2023. She was born May 11, 1943, the daughter of Cyril and Grace De Vries. She graduated from Freeport Highschool in 1961. She met Marty while attending church in September of 1958, Judy was still in highschool. They were engaged on December 24, 1960, when Marty was home from the Army for the Holidays. On September 14, 1963 Marty and Judy were married in Open Bible Church, Loves Park, IL by Reverend Don Lyon.

Judy loved cross stitching, collecting Lenox china, and reading. In the later years, their favorite getaway vacation was to Branson, Missouri. Once Marty passed away, she did not have the will to live anymore. She was a devout Christian. She is now with Marty and her Savior.

Survivors include her brother, David De Vries; cousins, Sandra Gillingham, Myrna Lohman, Darlene Maaske, and Mary Jansen; nephews-in-law, Roger and Dan Cederholm and other survivors, Cheryl Davis, Ginny Baum, Katy Eubank, Faith Beaty and Kris Hemmersbach.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 on Saturday, December 2, 2023, in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Roscoe Chapel – 11342 Main St. Roscoe. A eulogy will be given by Pastor Tom Mathisen during the last 15 minutes of the memorial visitation.
