Obituary

Jean Denice (Benson) Taylor passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2023.

Denice was born on August 4, 1960, in Tooele, UT to Alvin Richard and Barbara Jean (Dubois) Benson. She graduated from Tooele High School in 1978. After her graduation, she moved and lived in several places. She eventually settled in Elko, NV where she met and married her husband, Stephen Taylor in 1983. He passed away in 2015.

Denice worked for Elko County District Attorney's Office Child Support for 26 years. She started in the front office as a receptionist, and was promoted several times, where she retired on May 1, 2023, as the Child Support Program Manager.

Denice will be remembered for her big beautiful brown eyes, her love for fashion, pens, music, and shopping, her signature handwriting, her kind and giving nature, but mostly for her love and devotion for her 4-legged daughter, Molly.

Although Denice never had children of her own, her love for her niece and nephew was unmeasurable. She was so proud and loved them unconditionally, sharing them to anyone who would listen.

She is survived by her sister, Tammy Benson; niece, Miranda Johnson (Miles Fore); nephew, Mac Johnson. Preceded in death by her parents and husband.

At her request, she will be brought home to Tooele and laid to rest with her parents.

We would like to thank the Elko County District Attorney's office for their love, friendship, and support of Denice. She loved them so much.

Rest easy Sister until I get there! I love and miss you already!
