Jo Ann Andrea Myers

Jo Ann Andrea Salazar Myers, age 76, of Salida, died surrounded by her family on November 24, 2023 in Salida, CO. She was born in Salida, Colorado on February 10, 1947 to Cordi and Joe Salazar. Jo Ann graduated from Salida High School in 1965, Rockmont College in Longmont, and completed computer training at IBM in Missouri. She married her husband, Milton (Bud) in 1966. Together they had four children, Kurt, Cindy, Gayle and Lisa. She taught Cubbies at Salida Baptist Church, and continued teaching Grace Kids at Grace Church. She was a devout Christian and her faith in the Lord showed by her devotion to her church and her volunteer work with the children that continued through her battle with cancer. She loved playing scrabble and word games, and beating her children at Pacman. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Milton (Bud), children Kurt Myers, Cindy Schuster, Gayle Wood (Derryl), Lisa (Donald) Barragan, grandchildren Denise, David, Donald, Madisyn, Lucas, Reece and Lindsey, siblings Judy Tanner, Liz Gonzales, Jim Salazar and numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral services are set for 11:00 am Friday, December 1 at Grace Church. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Friends who desire may make memorial contributions to Grace Church.
