Judy A. Rassier Obituary

Judy Rassier, 76, of Williston, ND passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, November 24th, 2023, at her sister’s home.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the First Lutheran Church in Williston, ND at 2:00 PM.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM at the Everson Coughlin Funeral Home.

Judy Ann Rassier (Holm), was born May 9th, 1947, to Alf and Anna (Bratlien) Holm in Williston, ND at Mercy Hospital. She attended grades 1 through 8 at Lynch Country School. She then attended Williston High School and graduated in 1965. She was blessed with three beautiful children, Greg, Julie, and Jenni.

After graduation, Judy became a telephone operator for the Northwestern Bell phone company. In 1988, she moved to Fargo and worked for US West Communications where she retired with 30 years as a Telephone Operator. Judy was very proud of the years she put into her job. After retirement, she returned to Williston and worked at Mercy Hospital in the purchasing department for over 5 years.

Judy was a lifelong member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She was a very crafty lady and loved to cross-stitch, quilt, sew, and make ceramics. In her younger years, Judy participated in city league basketball and softball. She was the pitcher of a championship softball team. Judy was a very hard-working woman and talked fondly of her time on the family farm. She really enjoyed the monthly “Hen Party” with her cousins, sisters and Aunt Mabel. Judy’s biggest and brightest joys were spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Many people would describe Judy as an “angel.” She was genuine, patient, kind and had a heart of gold. She gave the best hugs and always showed unconditional love. She was also tough as nails and quick with a joke. People like Judy come around once in a lifetime.

Judy will be deeply missed by her children Greg (Trish) Rassier, Williston, ND, Julie (Randy) Faldalen, Gillette, WY, and Jennifer (Ryan) Link, Milan, MN; grandchildren, Shelbi (Matt) Myrick, Nathaniel (Hannah) Rassier, Faith Faldalen, Anna Faldalen, Isaac Link, and Greta Link; great grandchildren Hudson Myrick, Avonlea Rassier, and Sonny Myrick. Her brother Jerome Holm, Williston, ND; her sisters Mary Stewart, Williston, ND, Dorothy (Dale) Keever, Epping, ND, Aunt Mabel Colebank, Williston, ND; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alf and Anna Holm, her very special Grandma B, and her brother-in-law, Larry Stewart.

Judy’s family would like to express their sincerest thank you to the Home Health Care nurses for their excellent care during Judy’s final days.
