Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Stephen Floyd Rue, 70, who passed away November 25, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Rev. Jason Corder and Rev. David Broussard will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Wednesday from 9:00 am to the time of service at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley. Interment will be in Maxie Cemetery.

Stephen is survived by his wife of 35 years, Priscilla T. Rue of Crowley; four children, Floyd Rue and his wife Sara of Crowley, Samuel Rue and his wife Rebecca of Lafayette, Amy Mouton and her husband Daniel of Mermentau, and Valarie Myers and her husband Garrett of Maxie; one sister, Virginia R. Dunnahoe and her husband Duane of New Iberia; two brothers, Byron Rue and his wife Sherry of Crowley, and Johnny Rue and his wife JoAnn of Crowley; and nine grandchildren, Owen Rue, Maggie Rue, Abram Rue, Eli Rue, Falin Mouton, Landon Mouton, Bo Hoffpauir, Cole Hoffpauir, and Manny Myers.

He is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Dora Trahan Rue; and one sister, Martha Rue Pendley.

The family would like to thank Lamm Hospice for all their care and compassion given over the past weeks.
