It is with profound sadness and heartfelt sympathy that we, the staff of Heavenly Rest Funeral Home of Searcy, AR, announce the passing of Mr. Russell Wayne Woods on November 21, 2023 at Unity Hospital Searcy.

Russell Wayne Woods, 66, was born on October 16, 1957 in Hammond, IN to Howard and Syble Woods.

He is proceeded in death by his parents.

Russell was known for working with his hands, being creative, fishing, and making beautiful candles. He was an all around family man. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his boy’s & grandchildren. Russell was always known for his beautiful singing, in which he took pride in calling everyone to sing happy birthday.

Russell leaves his precious memories too, his wife of 22 years, Sandra Woods of Searcy. Sons, Dayton & Dallas Woods of Searcy. Daughters, Katie Howell (Troy) of Green Cove, FL & Amy Porter (Chuck) of Virginia Beach, VA.  Grandchildren, Alice Jenkins of San Diego, CA, Taylor Miller of El Paseo, TX, Wesley Porter of Virginia Beach, VA & Kamryn Keller of Green Cove Springs, FL. Sister, Penney Woods of Hubbard, OH. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many, many friends.
