Memorial services for Margaret June Dowdy “Maw”, age 75, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Grace Family Church with Bro. Mark Garrett officiating.   There will be no formal visitation.  Margaret passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at her home.

Margaret was born on September 17, 1948 in Brashear, TX,  the daughter of Homer Glen George and Jane George.  She married William “Billy” Dowdy on January 18, 1986 in Brashear and he preceded her in death. Margaret was an auction worker for Parker Auction.  She attended Grace Family Church in Sulphur Springs.  She is survived by her children, Tracy McLane and wife Debra, John McLane and wife Mitzi all of Brashear, TX, Chad Dowdy and wife Tonya of Mineral Wells, TX  and April Dowdy Hackney and husband Wade of Greenville, TX, one sister, Roxie Perry, grandchildren, Ashlee Collins and husband Chris, Brandie English and husband Colten and Kirsten McLane, great-grandchildren, Haydn McLane, Branson Ansly, Ashlyn Collins, River English and Georgia English, niece, Jeanna homan and nephew, Kevin Edwards.  In addition to her husband, Billy, she was preceded in death by her parents.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donation be made to Grace Family Church, 1901 E.
