Elridge "Lou" Noel, Sr. Obituary

ARNAUDVILLE  ~  Funeral services will be held Monday, November 27, 2023 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Elridge "Lou" Noel, Sr., age 84, who passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at his residence.


Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Michael Richard, pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.


Musical selections will be provided by Valerie Andrus. The songs will be Amazing Grace, 23rd Psalm, Just A Closer Walk With Thee, On Eagle’s Wings, and Precious Lord, Take My Hand.


Mr. Noel was a native of Arnaudville and a resident of Henderson. He retired after 30 years as a Drag Line Operator with Berry Brothers General Contractors. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson.


Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Virginia Marie Noel of Henderson; eight children, Larry Joseph Noel and his wife, Rebecca, of Butte LaRose and their children, Brandy and Eljay, Tina Marie Noel Knott and her husband, Ricky, of Pecaniere and their children, April, Clint, Leah, and Amanda, Angela Faye Noel of Breaux Bridge and her children, Jane, Tilly, and Gabriel, Liz Marie Noel Smith of Arnaudville and her children, Tori and McKinlie, Tracey Marie Noel Bertrand of Pecaniere and her children, Kristen and Matthew, Erica Faye Noel LeBlanc and her husband, Craig, of Arnaudville and their children, Sabrina, Christopher, and Noah, Elridge Joseph Noel, Jr. of Henderson and his children, Hunter, Sebastian, Bryson, Bree, Kaygon, Abigail, and Bentlee, and James Keith Noel and his wife, Melissa, of Henderson and their children, Brandon, Hunter, and Kiley; and seventeen great grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Moise Noel and the former Ella Miller; two brothers, Alton Noel and Johnny Noel; three sisters, Nola Mae Lanclos, Zula Mae Melancon, Verna Mae Noel, and Joyce Ann Noel; and one son-in-law, Rodney Smith.


The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Monday until service time on Monday.


Pallbearers will be Larry Noel, Elridge Noel, Jr., James Noel, Ricky Knott, Craig LeBlanc, and Clint Knott. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Noel, Gabriel Collette, Andrew Thibodeaux and Bryson Noel.
