In Loving memory of Leah Nicole Weaver

Leah passed away on November 11th, 2023. She was born January 9, 1983, to Steven and Louise Weaver in Buena Vista, Colorado.

She was a kind, compassionate and caring woman; she had many hobbies and interests but was a true outdoors person with a passion for recreational activities and local game hunting. Through the years with family and friends she enjoyed many outdoor adventures including rafting, hunting, hiking, fishing and four-wheeling in our beautiful valley.

She was a proud graduate of Buena Vista High School, graduating in 2001. She excelled in competitive sports; her favorite sport was basketball which she continued in by volunteering and coaching the Buena Vista team through many seasons. She was an industrious person either driving large trucks for ACA or the school bus for the Buena Vista School District. During the summer months she would drive the rafting buses for KODI Rafting which she loved doing with her son, Beau. She also did a stint with the Henderson Mine, working in the manufacturing plant environment. Although she would say her greatest achievement is her son, Beau, her legacy of organ donation will live on and on and will be remembered for the life-giving love she always shared.

She was a devoted and loving mother and daughter. She was a loyal and supportive friend to all who knew her and she will be truly missed by us all.

She is survived by her son, Beau Howell; her daughter, Brooke Howell; her brother Nick (Megan) Weaver; her niece, Amelia Weaver; her nephew, Simon Weaver; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in the extended family and her loving parents Steven and Louise Weaver.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Stephen & Emma Bernhardt and Calvin & Alberta Weaver.
