Theresa M. Link, 95, Boise, formerly of Sweet, Idaho, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister and a dear friend to many, passed away on November 19, 2023 surrounded by her children.

  Theresa M. Link was born September 24, 1928, to Susan and August Von Teresch in Defience, Iowa. She was the third oldest of 15 brothers and sister. She moved to Idaho with her oldest sister when she was a young adult. Theresa worked hard to put herself through nursing school and then worked for St. Alphonsus Hospital after graduation.

  She met her husband, John B. Link through mutual friends and was married a short time later on May 17, 1954. They moved a small house up from Boise to the land they bought in Brownlee, where they lived and raised their two children. They both ranched and farmed the land together. Theresa was known for the plentiful garden crops she raised on their farm and shared with many neighbors.

  After retiring, Theresa and John sold the ranch and moved to Ontario, Oregon where they bought a house and continued to raise a huge garden with vegetables and fruit trees that were shared with many of their new friends in Ontario.

  Theresa was a wonderful homemaker, with a spotless house, delicious baked goods and always great food to eat at any time. You never left her house hungry. She was most proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always made time for them, whether it was to play card games, trucks, dolls, push them in the swing or to just sit in the rocking chair and read to them. She will be greatly missed.

  Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents, Susan and August Von Teresch, and 11 of her siblings.

  She is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, John D. Link (Jill), by her daughter, Catherine Stephenson (Doug}, her 5 grandchildren, Jason Link (Brooke), Nicole Williams (Brian), Amy Link, Dustin Stephenson (Nikki), Kimberly Smith, Her Great Grandchildren, Stephen, Annalyn, Jane, Hagen, Hazel and Kendra and honorary grandchildren Nic and Dalton Fenstemacher.

  A funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emmett, Idaho on December 1, 2023 at 2:00 PM, burial will follow at the Emmett Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Potter Funeral Chapel.

  A special Thank you to the employees of Edgewood Assisting Living and All Care Hospice who took care of Theresa.

  Memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
