Clarine L. Holmquist, 92 years, of Fremont, NE passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Nye Legacy.

Clarine was born on April 3, 1931 to Alexander and Esther (Syverson) Lee in Grand Forks, ND.

She married Ray Anderson and had five children. They later divorced. On June 29, 1996, Clarine married Bernie Holmquist in Centuria, WI. They lived in Wisconsin for several years until Bernie’s passing. In 2001, Clarine moved back to Nebraska.

Over the years, Clarine loved to work in her garden, fish for sunnies, and was an embroider. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed helping with the bandage brigade and funeral luncheons.

She was preceded by her husband, Bernie; parents; and sister Barbara Meyer, and 2 grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Jerry) Seurer; sons, Larry (Sue) Anderson, Jay (Karen) Anderson, Rick (Gail) Anderson, and Scott (Ellen) Anderson; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. 4 nieces and 1 nephew.

A Memorial Service will be 10 A.M., Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial will take place at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
