<p>Mass of Christian Burial for Evelyn Peplinski age 97 of Dodge, NE will be Monday, November 27, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge, NE. Interment will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is assisting the family with the arrangements.</p><p><br></p><p>Evelyn passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Nye Legacy in Fremont, NE.</p><p><br></p><p>Evelyn Marie Peplinski was born August 14, 1926 to Louis and Tillie (Sindelar) Dolezal at rural Howells, NE. Evelyn attended rural school near Heun and graduated from Howells High School. She went on to receive her teaching certificate from Midland Lutheran College. She taught in rural schools prior to her marriage.</p><p><br></p><p>On June 15, 1948, she was united in marriage to Gilbert Peplinski at Holy Trinity Catholic Church-Heun. The couple farmed north of Howells before moving to a farm north of Dodge. Evelyn worked for several years at the Campbell Soup Company in Fremont, NE.</p><p><br></p><p>Evelyn was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and sewing. Evelyn loved Polka music and dancing.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include-</p><p>Daughter-Donna Sievers of Fremont, NE</p><p>Grandson-James Manouel of Plano, TX</p><p><br></p><p>Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents-Louis and Tillie Dolezal, husband-Gilbert Peplinski, son-Allen Peplinski, and son-in-law-Karl “Skip” Sievers.</p>Obituary
