Mary Ann Peterson
<p>Mary Ann Peterson, 92 of Fremont, Nebraska passed away Sunday November 19, 2023 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont surrounded by family. She was born September 12, 1931 in Madison, NE to William and Nelda (Johnson) Ramsier. </p><p><br></p><p>Mary Ann grew up in Madison and lived in several communities including Norfolk before settling in Fremont. She married Warren “Dale” Peterson on December 5, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1999. Mary Ann worked as a cook at Midland Lutheran College for 35 years, and Archbishop Bergan in Fremont for a year.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Omaha and liked to bowl and golf. She was a member of TOPS and the Silver Sneakers group at the YMCA. </p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her daughters, Renee (John) Radtke of Fremont and Vicki Jo Peterson of Fairbury, NE; sons, Bob (Linda) Peterson of Norfolk, and John (Michelle) Peterson of Fremont; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. </p><p><br></p><p>Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jim “Pete” Peterson; brothers, Gary and Homer; and sister, Judy. </p><p><br></p><p>Funeral will be 10 A.M., Saturday November 25, 2023 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Fr. Stephen Sandquist will officiate. Visitation will be on Friday from 5-7 P.M., with a rosary starting at 7 P.M., all at Moser’s in Fremont.
