Andrea Lynn Holmquist

<p><br></p><p>Mexico- Andrea Lynn Holmquist died unexpectedly while sleeping at home. She was born on August 5, 1972 to Georgette and Clifford Holmquist Sr. in Rumford, Maine.<br></p><p>Andrea was very social and considered everyone her friend. While in school, Andrea was involved in many activities- manager for girls’ basketball, member of the student council, library aide, yearbook staff, and in the marching band. She was a graduate of Mountain Valley High School.</p><p>After graduation, Andrea first worked at the Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport and then moved to Florida to continue working for the Colony. While in Florida, she was also a nanny for small children. She was known as “Auntie” to those children and many more, not just her nieces and nephews who adored her. Andrea also worked for many years at Sunday River in accounts payable. Most recently, she became a certified tax preparer and was working at H &amp; R Block in Rumford.</p><p>Andrea enjoyed life, and was most happy when she was doing for others. She was so generous and would give you the shirt off her back.</p><p>She loved camping which came from the years of family camping trips to Dummer’s Beach. Her son, Kolby was “her life”. She gave him everything she could. Most recently, she was able to take Kolby to Florida for the first time, and packed a full schedule of fun things while there. Watching Kolby play basketball is something that made her heart smile.</p><p>Andrea loved the Holmquist family Christmas gatherings. She was well-known for her cooking and always made enough to feed an army. Her stuffed mushrooms and meatballs were the best! Her nieces and nephews remember the Easter Egg hunts, the Santa visits, and Halloween Party at the Jordan that she threw for them.</p><p>Survivors include her son, Kolby Clifford Gaudet, siblings- Candy Holmquist, Val Marston, Melody Holmquist Jackie Pettegrow (Gene), George Holmquist, Craig Holmquist, Paul Holmquist (Kristi) and many nieces and nephews. Andrea is deceased by her parents and her brother Clifford Holmquist, Jr.</p><p>Friends and family are invited to go online and share memories with the family at: www.meaderandson.com</p><p>A celebration of life will be held Saturday December 2, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Meader &amp; Son Funeral Home 3 Franklin St. Rumford, ME.</p><p>In lieu of flowers, you may give to her son, Kolby Clifford Gaudet for his future. Mexico- Andrea Lynn Holmquist died unexpectedly while sleeping at home. She was born on August 5, 1972 to Georgette and Clifford Holmquist Sr. in Rumford, Maine.

Andrea was very social and considered everyone her friend. While in school, Andrea was involved in many activities- manager for girls’ basketball, member of the student council, library aide, yearbook staff, and in the marching band. She was a graduate of Mountain Valley High School.
