Keith Brunelle, 71, of Williston, passed away at CHI Saint Alexius Hospital in Williston on Saturday evening, November 18, 2023.


Father Paul Eberle will celebrate his Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Williston. Cremation will follow the Funeral Mass.


Visitation will be on Monday, November 27, from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM and for the hour preceding the service at the church on Tuesday.


Keith Douglas Brunelle was born October 27, 1952, in Williston, North Dakota.


He attended Williston High School and graduated in 1970. He later attended college at Laramie Wyoming Technical Institute as a mechanic.


Keith was married to Penny Marmon. They had four boys – Blain, Lindon, Adam, and Brett. Keith and Penny were residing in Williston, North Dakota at the time of his death from cancer on November 18, 2023.


Keith was a lifetime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Williston, North Dakota. His faith was very important to him.

He enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling in the mountains. Most of all, he enjoyed all of these activities with family – his four sons and their families, and his brothers, sisters and brother-in-law, Ivan and sister, Kathryn. Also, other relatives when they were able to join him.


Keith worked for farmer/ranchers in his early marriage. Later he worked as a crane operator for Getter Trucking, Black Hills Trucking, and Peak Oilfield Service in Alaska. He was also a truck driver for Peak Oilfield Service. He retired in 2013 to have more time to do the activities he loved most – again, mostly with family.


Keith is survived by his wife, Penny; four sons, Blain (Tara), Lindon (Lisa), Adam (Rianna), and Brett (Margot); seven grandchildren, Jayden, Kiarra, Landyn, Seth, Jasmine, AJ, and Rylin; one great grandchild, Hudson. He is also survived by five brothers, Dan, Jim, David, Eldon, Randy, and three sisters, Phillis, Kathryn, and Gail.


He is preceded in death by his father, William Brunelle, his mother, Lucy Brunelle, brother, Terry, sisters, Martha and Shirley, and infant nephew, Arlin James Brunelle, grandson, Brennen, and his grandparents.
