Obituary
In Loving Memory of Hunter Michael Blaine
Hunter Michael Blaine, a beloved 31-year-old retired Army Captain, departed this world on
November 13, 2023. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
Born on January 20, 1992, in Pittsburgh, PA, Hunter was someone whose presence touched the
lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. Hunter spent his early life growing up in
Istanbul, Turkey, traveling around historical sites with his family. This experience grew his love
for studying history. He married his high school sweetheart, Kylie Winona Brown Blaine, on
July 28, 2012. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Oklahoma State University
in 2015. He was always passionate about serving his country through military service. He
achieved the Army Commendation Medal and National Defense Service, earning the respect of
colleagues and peers.
Hunter's true essence, however, was found in the warmth of his heart and the laugh that he gave
freely. He had a compassionate spirit that resonated with those around him. Friends and family
remember him for his love of reading, the outdoors, and creative writing, reflecting his life's
unique and beautiful tapestry.
Hunter Blaine is survived by his wife, Kylie Brown Blaine; mother, Lisa Hunter Blaine; his
father, Darrell Blaine; his sister, Jarilyn Blaine; his brother, William Blaine; his grandfather, Jerry
Hunter; his grandmother, Corene Callahan; who will forever hold onto the precious memories
and lessons imparted by his presence. He is also remembered fondly by a wide circle of extended
family, friends, and colleagues who share in the grief of this profound loss.
The family expresses their deepest gratitude to all those who supported and cared for Hunter
Blaine throughout his life.
A memorial service to celebrate Hunter's life will be held on November 16 at 1 pm at Central
Baptist Church, Marlow. Friends and family are invited to join in remembrance, sharing stories
and finding solace in the collective love that surrounds Hunter's memory.
He is remembered through his favorite Bible verse, Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of
God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
